What is Rounding?

An ancient ritual that primes you for the deepest meditation.

Compounding

Practised over consecutive days, it creates a compounding effect where expansion is both stretched and stabilised.

Profound rest

The body settles into a deep, restful state, and accumulated tiredness and tension have a chance to ease.

Clarity

Consciousness settles more fully, clearing the mind of irrelevant patterns and expanding sensory perception.

Who it's for

Whether you're newly initiated or have been practising for years, the programme is tailored to your experience and what you want to explore next. Haven't learnt Vedic Meditation yet but feel called to join? Get in touch and we'll arrange for you to learn before or during the retreat.

FAQs

Before you arrive.

How do I get there?

Driving: Valla is about five hours north of Sydney and three hours south of Byron Bay.

Flying: complimentary pick-up from Coffs Harbour Airport can be arranged for all participants.

What should I bring?

This time of year is temperate: mild days and cooler evenings. We recommend:

  • Comfortable, loose clothing for meditation
  • Warm layers for mornings and nights
  • Swimwear for the plunge pool or bath
  • A head torch
  • A journal
  • Walking shoes
  • Anything personal that supports rest and comfort
How should I prepare?

To experience the full depth of the retreat:

  • Keep your schedule clear throughout the retreat
  • Avoid stimulants such as caffeine for three days before, during and after
  • Give yourself some quiet time afterwards to integrate the shifts

These small steps help body and mind settle more easily into the deeper layers of Rounding.

Come and do nothing, properly.
